We place the ships near food areas and stages, and ensure a good distribution of the ships so that it creates a good atmosphere to walk around the harbor. This will help us avoid unnecessary transportation and give the audience a good experience.
Furthermore, we ensure that all ships, as far as possible, have access to shore power. This means that they can recharge without using fossil fuels, which is a clean and green solution. During the event, the municipality's water truck will also be present, as well as several water filling stations in the event area. Crew, young sailors and visitors can thus fill their water bottles completely free of charge.
Skutefesten in Kristiansand is not just a folk festival - it's an opportunity to make a difference to the environment. Here's what we're doing:
- We will provide a wide range of food and drink during the event. We require catering establishments to minimize the use of plastic, among other things.
